We are pleased to inform you that the Kurita Water and Environment Foundation (KWEF) supports scientists of Asian nationality who are conducting research with the following criteria.
1. Conditions required for Applicant
Applicants are requested to understand conditions and obligations of grantee, which are described in "Letter of Acceptance (form#: KWEF-24RGA-F52)"
1) The applicant must reside in Malaysia.
2) The applicant must conduct research at university, college, or associated institute in Malaysia (except private sectors).
3) The applicant shall be a young academician under 40 years of age. For PhD candidates, an approval from Supervisor is required(note: a master student is not allowed to submit a proposal).

2. Application period
Starting on March 1st, 2024 (Japan Standard Time)
Closing on May 15th, 2024 (Japan Standard Time)
3. Selection
All applications will be reviewed by the Malaysia selection committee. Only qualified applicants will receive a notice at the end of August by letter, followed by a final decision at KWEF Board. Qualified application information will be posted on KWEF website in September.

5. How to apply
1) Download an attachment form "Outline of Research (form# : KWEF-24APL-F51) through the following download URL [save the form in the first]
2) Complete your explanation of your research in the downloaded form.
3) Input necessary information and upload your completed "Outline of Research" in KWEF Web Application site.
* The Web application site goes live at 0:00 on March 1st, 2024 (JST), and expires at 24:00 on May 15th, 2024 (JST)

4)Notes:
* Application is acceptable only through the KWEF Web application site.
* KWEF shuts down acceptance of applications after expiration of the Web application site.
* No registered information is changeable once after your completion of application in the Web application site (your submitted information automatically goes to KWEF selection committee)
* Application has to be done by applicant herself/himself
