Please be informed that the Department of Higher Education (JPT), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) has opened applications for the Start-up and Spin-Off Accelerator (SUSOA) Grant Scheme starting from 10 June 2026. This grant scheme is offered under the implementation of the National Spin-Off Company Fund Initiative, which is one of the initiatives under Budget 2026.  

The main objectives of this grant scheme include:

 

  • Accelerating the commercialisation of university intellectual property through the establishment and strengthening of spin-off companies (SUSO).
  • Bridging the gap between research findings and commercialisation through structured entrepreneurial acceleration
  • Empowering the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem among higher education institutions.
In relation to this, the Centre for Innovation and Consultation (CIC), Universiti Sains Malaysia, as the secretariat for this grant scheme, will be organising a briefing session as detailed below:
