It is our pleasure to announce that this is the second call for proposals for the RESEARCH INITIATIVE GRANT SCHEME (PUBLICATION) P-RIGS. The application for the grant is via the RMS V2. Researchers from the fields of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities are invited to apply.

• All project proposals should have a clear statement of the problem to be solved;
• The research is fundamental in nature;
• The research is aligned to one (1) or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals;
• The research is aligned to one (1) or more of the Maqasid Syariah
• The research is aligned to one (1) or more of the Malaysia Madani policy framework;
• The intended impact of the research is clearly stated;
• The budget is appropriate and meets the objectives of the grant.

1. Only ONE (1) application per staff. A minimum of one (1) co-researcher is required;
2. Open to the following who are currently NOT Principal Investigators in Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities research area:
a) Professor;
b) Associate Professors ;
c) Assistant Professors;
3. The applicant is not on study leave;
4. Proposals associated with the IIUM Flagships may also be submitted provided they are research-based;
5. Proposals for non – research projects will NOT be entertained.

4 Articles in journals indexed in Scopus or WoS (The articles must be co-authored with researchers from national and international universities and wherever possible, those from the industry)
