The British Council is proud to announce the Alumni UK Grant Programme 2026–27, offering grants of up to £5,000 to support innovative, impactful, and collaborative projects led by international UK alumni.
What We’re Looking For
We want to fund projects that can change the game. Specifically, initiatives that:

Deliver measurable impact

Introduce innovative or creative approaches

Strengthen collaboration & knowledge sharing
-
Are feasible within 5 months
Thematic Focus Areas
Your project should align with one of the following key focus areas:

Climate Action & Sustainability: Projects addressing climate change and environmental sustainability through practical, community-driven, or creative approaches.

Inclusion, Reducing Inequality & Empowerment: Projects that promote inclusion, expand opportunities, and empower underrepresented or marginalised groups.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this grant, you must meet the following criteria:

UK Alumnus/Alumna: Spent at least one term of study at a UK institution.

Nationality & Residency: Must be a national of and currently resident in one of the eligible countries: Brazil, China, France, Germany, Greece, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, UAE, or Viet Nam.

Application Limit: Submit one (1) application only.

Political Affiliation: Must be independent of any political affiliations
