SUBMISSION

The IIUM Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IIUM-IACUC) oversees all aspects of IIUM animal care and use programs for teaching and research. IIUM-IACUC Members are appointed by the Deputy Rector (Responsible Research and Innovation) of IIUM. The IIUM-IACUC reviews all animal use protocols, ensures compliance with federal regulations, inspects animal facilities and laboratories and oversees training and educational programs. The IIUM-IACUC serves as a resource to faculty, investigators, technicians, students, staff, and administrators and provides guidance for conducting all animal use procedures with the highest scientific, humane, and ethical principles.The IIUM-IACUC is composed of a chair, a veterinarian, research scientists, non-scientists, and community representatives.
