* The Principal Investigator (PI) is an individual who assumes the authority and responsibility for the conduct of a research study. Undergraduate and graduate students, including Masters and Doctoral candidates, are generally\n not permitted to serve as the Principal Investigator (PI) on research proposals, awards, or human subject studies (IRB protocols).
